Mark Coeckelbergh는 빈 대학교 철학과의 미디어 기술철학 교수, 철학교육 학부 부학장이고, 철학기술학회 전 회장이다. 이전에 영국 드몽포트대학교 컴퓨팅사회책임센터의 기술 및 사회적 책임 교수였고, 3TU 윤리기술센터 소장이었다. 유럽집행위원회 인공지능고위전문가단, 오스트리아 로보틱스인공지능위원회, 자율이동성 자문 위원회 (오스트리아 정부) 등 인공지능, 로보틱스 정책 분야 자문기구들에 소속되어 있으며, 책임 있는 로봇공학재단을 위한 공학기술전문가위원회를 포함하여 많은 위원회의 자문위원이다. 현재 로보틱스와 AI 분야에서 여러 유럽 연구 프로젝트에 참여하고 있으며, 여러 자문편집 위원회에 소속되어 있다. 저서로는 Growing Moral Relations (2012), Human Being @ Risk (2013), Environmental Skill (2015), Money Machines (2015), New Romantic Cyborgs (2017), Using Words and Things (2017), Moved by Machines (2019), Introduction to Philosophy of Technology(2019), AI Ethics (2020) 등이 있고, 그 외 기술철학 분야의 논문이 다수 있다
Mark Coeckelbergh is a Professor of Philosophy of Media and Technology at the Department of Philosophy, University of Vienna, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Education, and the former President of the Society for Philosophy and Technology (SPT). Previously he was Professor of Technology and Social Responsibility at the Center for Computing and Social Responsibility, De Montfort University, UK, and Managing Director of the 3TU Center for Ethics and Technology. Coeckelbergh is member of advisory bodies in the area of policy for artificial intelligence and robotics, including the High Level Expert Group on Artificial Intelligence for the European Commission, the Austrian Council on Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, and the Advisory Council on Automated Mobility (Austrian government). He has many other advisory roles and affiliations, including member of the Technical Expert Committee for the Foundation for Responsible Robotics. Currently he is involved in a number of European research projects in the area of robotics and AI and member of several advisory editorial boards. His publications include Growing Moral Relations (2012), Human Being @ Risk (2013), Environmental Skill (2015), Money Machines (2015), New Romantic Cyborgs (2017), Using Words and Things (2017), Moved by Machines (2019), Introduction to Philosophy of Technology (2019), AI Ethics (2020) and numerous articles in the area of philosophy of technology.
[ 강연요약 ] Abstract
AI에 의해 제기되는 윤리 문제, 특히 책임성 문제에 초점을 맞추어 강연한다. 우선 기술적 행동으로 이해되는 AI의 책임성을 분석한 다음, 코로나 대유행과 기후변화 등의 글로벌 도전과제에 직면한 상황에서 AI 책임성에 대해 고찰하고, 글로벌 AI 거버넌스 체계에 대해 논의한다
In this talk, Mark Coeckelbergh discusses ethical problems raised by AI, with a particular focus on problems of responsibility. First he analyzes responsibility for AI, understood as technological action, then he considers what responsibility for AI given global challenges such as pandemics and climate change. He argues for a framework for the global governance of AI and reflection on humanity’s hyper-agency in the Anthropocene.
